Is PVC Safe for Food Contact Areas?

Yes. The PVC rubber used is a high-quality, phthalate-free flexible PVC compound that meets REACH and RoHS safety standards. While the mat is designed for indirect food contact (under drinks and dishes), it is not intended for direct food contact (cutting or serving on). The material is non-toxic, BPA-free, and does not off-gas harmful VOCs at room temperature. It is the same material family used in commercial bar mats worldwide.

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom PVC bar mat?

For a standard rectangular mat with a custom screen-printed logo, the MOQ is 300 pieces per design. For custom die-cut shapes (non-rectangular), MOQ is 500 pieces. For a simple color change of the existing mold (same size, same texture, just different color base), MOQ is as low as 100 pieces.

How long does a sample take to arrive?

Once the artwork is approved, we produce the sample in 5 – 7 working days and ship via DHL/FedEx. International delivery takes 3 – 5 working days after dispatch.

Are these bar mats heat resistant? Can I put hot pans on them?

The mat withstands temperatures up to 60°C (140°F). It is designed for drink condensation, cold dishes, and room-temperature items. It is NOT recommended for hot pans, baking trays, or direct heat sources (stove tops, ovens). For hot item protection, please see our silicone trivet products.

Can I put the mat in the dishwasher?

We recommend hand washing with mild soap and warm water. While the PVC material can technically survive a dishwasher cycle, the high heat of the drying cycle (70°C+ at some settings) may accelerate aging over time. Hand washing is best: rinse, apply soap, scrub with a soft brush, rinse again, air dry — takes 30 seconds.

Will the raised nubs flatten over time?

No. The nubs are compression-molded into the PVC material during production — they are integral to the sheet, not separate pieces that can detach or flatten. The Shore A 60 hardness means the nubs are firm enough to maintain their shape while soft enough to provide grip. Under normal use (bar counter, desk), they will maintain their texture for years.

Can I use this mat for a pet feeding area?

Absolutely. These mats are excellent for under pet bowls. The raised nubs catch water splashes and food crumbs, the waterproof surface makes cleanup easy, and the non-slip back keeps the mat (and bowls) from sliding across the floor. We recommend a 12" x 18" or larger size for pet feeding stations.

Can I get the mat with my company logo printed across the whole surface?

Yes. We offer full-surface screen printing and heat transfer options. Your logo or artwork can cover the entire mat surface, including the nubs. Full-surface printing adds a small premium per piece and extends the lead time by 2 – 3 working days. Please send your vector artwork for a quote.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept T/T bank transfer (30% deposit + 70% balance before shipment), L/C at sight above $5,000, Western Union for samples, and PayPal for orders under $500.

Can I mix multiple designs in one order?

Yes. You can mix different colors, sizes, and printed designs in the same production batch, as long as each unique design meets its MOQ. For example: 300 pcs of pink with daisy print + 300 pcs of blue with a different logo in one order.

Is the mat recyclable?

PVC rubber is technically recyclable at specialized PVC recycling facilities, but standard municipal recycling programs may not accept it. We encourage customers to reuse the mat for as long as possible (expected lifespan: 5 – 10+ years under normal use). At end of life, it can be disposed of as general waste; it will not release harmful substances in landfill conditions.
