4. Backing Type

Choose backing based on application surface and permanence requirements. Iron-On (Standard): Heat-activated adhesive – best for cotton, polyester, denim. Permanent bond when sewn as reinforcement. Sew-On: No adhesive – preferred for leather, nylon, silk, and delicate fabrics. Requires hand or machine stitching. Hook & Loop (Velcro®): Hook backing for tactical vests, MOLLE panels, and removable patch applications. Self-Adhesive: Peel-and-stick – temporary use, not washable. Best for events and promotions. Magnetic: Embedded magnet for metal-surface display (lockers, fridges, toolboxes).

Q1: Can I iron this patch onto any fabric?

A1: Iron-on patches work best on cotton, polyester, denim, canvas, and cotton-blend fabrics. Avoid nylon, silk, leather, waterproof coatings, and very thin or heat-sensitive materials. For difficult fabrics, we recommend sewing the patch on or using a Hook & Loop backing instead.

Q2: How do I apply the iron-on patch correctly?

A2: (1) Preheat iron to 150–170°C (300–340°F) — no steam. (2) Place patch on garment, cover with a thin cotton cloth (press cloth). (3) Press firmly for 20–30 seconds, moving the iron in circular motion. (4) Let cool for 2 minutes. (5) For maximum durability, sew around the edge with a zigzag or straight stitch.

Q3: Will the patch damage my clothes when removed?

A3: If applied with heat only, the patch can be removed by reheating the adhesive and gently peeling. Some adhesive residue may remain, which can be removed with isopropyl alcohol. Sewn-on patches require seam ripper removal and may leave needle holes.

Q4: Is the "TRAPSTAR" design copyrighted?

A4: Our patches are manufactured per customer order. Please ensure you have the rights to reproduce the "TRAPSTAR" and "IT'S A SECRET" designs or any trademarked content. We do not assume liability for intellectual property infringement. Custom design service is available for original artwork.

Q5: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

A5: Standard stock designs: MOQ = 1 piece. Custom designs (new artwork): MOQ = 50 pieces. Size / shape / backing customization: MOQ = 100 pieces. Full custom packaging + labeling: MOQ = 500 pieces.

Q6: Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?

A6: Yes. Stock design samples ship within 1–2 business days. Custom design samples require 3–5 business days for production. Sample cost is deducted from your first bulk order (quantity dependent).

Q7: How do I clean patches after application?

A7: Machine wash gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F) or hand wash. Turn garment inside out to protect the patch. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Air dry or tumble dry low. High heat can weaken the adhesive bond — avoid direct iron contact with the embroidery face.

Q8: What file format do you need for custom designs?

A8: Preferred formats: AI (Adobe Illustrator), CDR (CorelDRAW), EPS, PDF (vector), or high-resolution PNG/JPG (minimum 600 DPI). We convert your artwork to embroidery machine format (DST/PES) at no extra charge. We do not charge digitizing fees.

Q9: Do you offer bulk discounts?

A9: Yes. Pricing tiers: 1–49 pcs – Standard unit price / 50–199 pcs – 5% discount / 200–499 pcs – 10% discount / 500–999 pcs – 15% discount / 1,000+ pcs – Contact for custom quote. Discounts apply to patch price only, not shipping or customization fees.

Q10: What if my patches arrive with defects?

A10: We stand by our quality. If you receive defective or damaged patches (loose threads, misaligned embroidery, adhesive failure), contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We offer free replacement or full refund for verified defects.
