Is Soft PVC Safe for Everyday Tabletop Use?

Yes. This coaster is manufactured from Soft PVC (polyvinyl chloride formulated with plasticizers to achieve a flexible, rubber-like feel). The material is phthalate-free and meets general consumer safety standards for food-contact surfaces. While Soft PVC is not intended for direct food contact, it is perfectly safe for use as a drink coaster where the only contact is with the outside of a cup, mug, or glass.

The production process uses multi-cavity injection molding, where each color zone — blush pink base, gray car body, white detail lines, black tires, and black text — is injected sequentially into the mold cavity. The liquid PVC fuses at the molecular level, creating a single solid piece with no seams, glue, or bonded layers. The result is a coaster where colors are locked inside the material and cannot peel, flake, or delaminate.

Soft PVC is naturally non-slip, water-resistant, and easy to clean. It will not warp, crack, or splinter like wood; it will not absorb moisture like fabric or ceramic coasters; and it will not scratch delicate furniture surfaces.

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom vintage car coaster design?

For a brand-new custom design (your own coaster artwork), the MOQ is 300 pieces per design. If you select an existing coaster mold from our catalog, the MOQ is reduced to 100 pieces. Stock color coasters with no custom changes have no MOQ — you can order as few as 10 pieces for personal use.

How long does a sample take to arrive?

Once artwork is approved, mold creation takes 5 – 7 working days, followed by sample production of 2 – 3 working days. After the sample is ready, shipping takes 3 – 7 working days via express courier (DHL/FedEx/UPS). Total from artwork approval to door: approximately 10 – 17 working days.

Is this coaster safe for hot drinks?

Yes. The Soft PVC material is heat-resistant up to 80°C (176°F). This covers the temperature of hot coffee, tea, and most hot beverages served in standard drinkware. However, we do not recommend placing pots straight from the stove or oven directly on the coaster, as temperatures exceeding 80°C may cause temporary deformation.

Can I get this coaster in different sizes?

Yes. The standard size shown is 4.0 inches (100 mm) in diameter. We can produce coasters from 3.0 inches (75 mm) to 5.5 inches (140 mm). Note that changing the size also requires adjusting the mold, which may affect the mold fee. Larger or smaller sizes outside this range are possible but require consultation with our engineering team.

How do the embossed colors hold up with regular use?

The colors are injected into the PVC material, not painted or printed on the surface. This means the color goes all the way through the material — it cannot peel, chip, flake, or rub off. Even with daily washing and wiping, the colors will remain vibrant. The only exception is prolonged UV exposure, which may cause gradual fading over months of direct sunlight.

Can I get a different vehicle instead of this particular car?

Absolutely. We can create any car, motorcycle, truck, or other automotive subject as a PVC soft coaster design. Simply provide your artwork or reference images, and our mold-making team will convert it into a production-ready 3D relief. We have experience with vintage cars, modern sports cars, off-road vehicles, and custom lowrider designs.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept T/T bank transfer (30% deposit + 70% balance before shipment), L/C at sight, Western Union, and PayPal for sample orders. For first-time clients, a 50% deposit may be required. For established clients with a transaction history, more flexible terms can be negotiated.

Can I mix multiple coaster designs in one order?

Yes. You can mix different vintage car patterns, color variations, or even different product types (coasters, trivets, mug mats) in a single order. However, each unique design requires its own mold (if new). Combination orders simplify logistics and may qualify for better shipping rates.

What if there is a quality issue after delivery?

We offer a 6-month quality guarantee on all Soft PVC products. If the coaster shows manufacturing defects such as incomplete molding, color bleeding into wrong zones, or tearing within normal use, we will replace the defective pieces free of charge. Claims must be accompanied by photos or video evidence and submitted within 30 days of discovery.

Do you offer eco-friendly or biodegradable material alternatives?

Yes. We are developing a bio-based PVC alternative derived from renewable resources. This option maintains the same flexibility, durability, and embossing capability as standard Soft PVC while reducing petroleum content.
